    ...Yet UM posters are treated warmly on the board if they act nice. If you are saying that MSU hates Iowa more than UM, you are nuts.

  • This thread has more drama than a junior high dance! Can't we all just stop speculating with other teams and wait for HIS official decision? We don't know a single thing until the recruiting department receives and files his LOI. His tweets don't mean a single thing. Its not that big of deal...if we keep him we keep him...if we don't we don't. Its not life or death but keeping him would be "nice"

    Yup, Jaleel's the real deal, my fav prospect in this year's class, and I'm sure many of you have seen his video where he dominates Jordan Diamond (4* OL prospect)

    Hope we hear later today that he's decided to cancel his EL visit.

  • Looks like MSU just signed DT David Fennell. I don't know how many scholarships they have left or how much room they have on the defensive line, but I'd imagine this is a good development for the Hawks.

    Thoughts?

    I feel like MSU would still take JJ in a heartbeat, but perhaps when we talk to him again be can use that against MSU somehow... shrug

    Here's the thing, I'm having a very hard time imagining JJ visiting EL next week. Think about this: Mark Dantonio would get the last word with our highest-rated COMMIT. I don't think that fact will sit real well with coach Ferentz.

    Yeah i agree, but i dont think we can afford to pull his offer if he does decide to visit.

    The way i look at it, and i have always said this, if i was a top recruit i would always take all 5 of my visits no matter what... Given i wouldnt commit until i did and if i knew i was going to commit to Iowa i EL would be the last place i would go.

    You're right, although Dantonio immediately cut McCall loose when he decided to visit Iowa last year. (Who, granted, was a lesser rated recruit than Jaleel)

    OK, one more time. I tried explaining this in the other thread.

    I'm an MSU grad. I grew up in the Lansing area. My immediate family all live there. But all my extended family is from Iowa and I grew up a hardcore Hawk fan.

    In 2006, as an out-of-stater, I signed up on the tRCMB to stay up to date on Lansing news. My bro-in-law is a die-hard Spartan fan, so I wanted to stay informed on MSU athletics. (Good for chats when I visit back home in Michigan, y'know)

    So I've been over there for a while and when people would start shitting on Kirk Ferentz or the state of Iowa, I'd stick up for them and sometimes things would escalate. I hate pissing matches, but sometimes they misrepresent facts over there and I'd step in.

    I was Dix Steele forever, and now I resorted to my Rivals name, Howler. I threw on the Andre Rison avatar just so I wouldn't immediately be called "TURNCOAT" over there. That's really all there is to it. I may have a lifelong attachment to Sparty/East Lansing, but I can assure you I am an Iowa fan.

    It's like your mixed race and there are always a few that wont accept you at either side! I say that with respect to all races as my adopted son is mixed and I know there are a few out there that feel that way (Although 99.9999% of Iowa locals love him, only one didn't). Anyway I welcome you here even though you are green and gold!thumbsup Just play nice with our Iowa brothers as your MSU pic is confusing. Also thanks for taking the time to explain your answer to my question.
