Lots of hype on this kid down here in KC. I think he is better than Trent Hosick, but doesn't have as much talent around him.

They definitely don't have the numbers at Wyandotte that they have at Staley. McKinzy plays the whole game on defense as well, which most quarterbacks aren't asked to do.
Haven't had a chance to watch McKinzy play yet, but I'll definitely look into that.

I meant to get to one of his games as I work in that area fairly often, but I just never made it to a game. I guess I could go tonight if his last game is tonight. The wife might not like that though. Haha.

I believe they play Leavenworth tonight. Not sure where the game's at though.

Leavenworth the city or is it named after the country like wyandotte? Lol. leavenworth county is right next to Wyandotte, but the town is about 30 minutes northwest of Wyandotte.

Not 100% sure, but I believe it's the town - I think that's where Michael Vick served his sentence.

Yeah, it's interesting to see all the various playoff systems from state to state. In Kansas, my understanding is that all that matters is your district. Each team is placed in a district with three other teams, and your last three games of the year are a round robin against each other. Whoever emerges with the best record in those three games makes the playoffs, regardless of what happened in the first 6 games. So you could have a team start the season 0-6, yet still make the playoffs, while a team that starts the season 6-0 could end up being on the outside looking in.

I work in KS and with a lot of people that went to HS in KS. We were talking about this the other day and they all say how stupid the system is that decides playoff teams. It's pretty strange.

Without a doubt...
what if a 6-0 team loses their best player (ex QB) to injury for a game...or if a team comes down with a bout of flu for a week...and goes 2-1, while a 1-5 team goes 3-0 due to those injuries/illnesses of their opponent?
...that is pathetic

I agree with both of you guys - not in favor of that system. But at the same time, everyone knows the system ahead of time, so you've got find a way to make it work for you. The biggest plus for that system is that it keeps every team's season alive for just about the entire season, because you've always got a chance to sneak into the playoffs. In states like Ohio, where it's very difficult to qualify for the playoffs, your season can be all but over if you start 0-2 or 0-3.
